The increasing prevalence of obesity is beginning to become an alarming situation around the planet. Health authorities are launching a couple of programs to keep folk fit and from gaining so much weight. Drug firms are developing one or two weight loss products to help curb this global problem. One of these products is Qnexa. According to its manufacturer, Vivus Inc., Qnexa is a diet pill which is composed of phentermine and topiramate. It has got a low dose formulation, so its manufacturer claims that it is well endured by its users. The drug is presently being scientifically studied at 3 doses : full strength, small dose and mild dose. The full strength dose contains 92 mg of topiramate and 15 mg of phentermine. The mild dose of the drug contains 46 mg of topiramate and 7.5 mg of phentermine. Meanwhile, the low dosage formulation contains 23 mg of topiramate and 3.75 mg of phentermine.
